Rosemary Bowden
Rosemary Bowden has specialised in
usability since 1990. Her background includes a degree in Ergonomics
(Loughborough University) and a range of business and computing
experience.
Rosemary's work has generally involved
defining a strategy for providing usability input to IT development and
implementing the strategy by providing management and usability skills to
support the client. Often this has included producing and delivering HCI
education programmes to the project team.
Her areas of work have included both
in-house and public facing systems, for traditional applications and
e-commerce - B2B and B2C. She has experience of usability reviews and user
testing of prototypes, products and applications running on a wide variety
of platforms.
She has worked for clients including all
the major UK banks, Standard Chartered Bank - Hong Kong, Reuters - London,
Frankfurt, and Zurich, Thomson Financial Services, The Employment Service,
Daewoo, Ladbroke Racing Ltd, London Underground Ltd and The British
Library.
Rosemary worked for CMG Admiral (1995-2001)
as a Senior Usability Consultant. Previously, she was a consultant at the
National Physical Laboratory (1990-95), initially focusing on research
into methods for measuring usability, and later applying those methods in
commercial product development throughout Europe.
